1) I think most British universities should shut down. Keep the top 20% of British universities, and anyone who is unable to enter those institutions, they can go to the Open University instead. The reason I say this, is because the Open University allows for flexible, long-distance learning with both full time and part time schedules. If you can't get into the top universities, you're not going to have the social prestigue premium on your degree, so you might as well go to The Open University and enjoy the benefits they have to offer that the bottom 80% of universities don't offer. Furthermore, the funding for the bottom 80% of universities can be concentrated towards the Open University instead.

2) A lot of Linux distributions are actually glorified desktop environments. I say this casually, I know there's a lot more that goes into it. I think it's good we have many distributions of Linux such as Debian, Arch, Fedora, etc, however, perhaps it'd be better if we can combine the efforts into improving each distributions as opposed to making multiple different distributions? Do we, respectfully, really need Ubuntu Cinnamon edition when Linux Mint already exists? I'm not advocating for anything here, people are free to spend their time how they want.

3) Why are people so afraid of living in a house in the middle of the graveyard? Not to sound like a misanthrope, so many of my problems are caused by people who are ALIVE. Dead people aren't going to play loud music at 3am, they're not going to do construction work on a Sunday, they're not going to stuff your bin with their trash, etc. If anything, I would've assumed houses located within or next to graveyards should be more expensive. I like people, neighbours, not so much. At best, they are distant, at worse, I have to teach them basic human decency.

4) The news makes no sense to me. Do I really need to know about a terrible incident that happened nowhere near I live? Somebody mentioned the media is a terrorist weapon, because if it wasn't for the media, terrorists wouldn't be able to inflict so much fear since very few people would be aware of the attacks. I think about that a lot.

5) I will only accept we are living in a recession when I don't have to deal with fireworks at 2am. I appreciate fireworks, but I think setting off a dozen of them per minute late at night is quite frankly immature. It demonstrates you have no sense of porportion,

6) I'm sorry for being vulgar, but I have never understood the appeal of hardcore pornography. I won't elaborate on this too much. Growing up, the family computer was in the living room, and there was always someone in the house, so for the most I avoided porn as a teenager. I think hardcore pornography is unnatural, and the only reason people watch it is because they encountered the material during their formative years and so for them it's "normal". The next time you watch hardcore pornography, assess what you're looking at, you are watching another man have sex and that is what's turning you on? It's worth reassessing your sexual orientation and asking yourself if its concistent with what you're watching.
